Industrial Engineer

An aviation company is looking for a Industrial Engineer Level 2 to join their team.
Listed below are the daily tasks that you will be completing.
May establish or assist in establishing accident prevention measures and may manage training programs for personnel concerning all phases of production operations.
Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems.
Based on these studies, develops, and implements plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods.
May assist facilities engineers in the planning and design of facilities.
Plan and forecast company resources (head count, equipment, and/or floorspace) to support customer demand.
Utilize and/or create metrics to measure performance of the resources compared to the plan.
Coordinates the operational aspects of projects/programs and serves as liaison between engineering, planning, and shop floor management.
Assesses program issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives.
Support the VSM (Value Stream Manager) to achieve cost, quality, and schedule goals.
In addition, create and maintain standardized metrics for reviews and reports (Key Performance Indicators, Risk, Earned Value, etc.
).
Provide oversight of various online tools utilized across projects and functions (e.
g.
, SharePoint development, deployment, and maintenance).
Lead/participate in continuous Improvement activities to create efficiencies.
Prior aerospace experience Knowledge in lean six sigma Industrial Engineering Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of related experience Knowledge in Microsoft operating systems and office products (including MS Project) Knowledge in (BI) business intelligence reporting Prefer knowledge in EVM (Earned Value Management) Knowledge in AutoCAD Able to work within a fast paced, changing, high energy environment Ability to travel on limited basis Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills Physical ability to lift, climb, grasp, hold, stand, bend, and stoop Recommended Skills Aerospace Industries Analytical Auto Cad Aviation Business Intelligence Business Process Improvement Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
