Regional Sales Managers are responsible for developing new sales opportunities and maintain current sales within their assigned territory. Position requires direct interface with industrial pump distributors, municipal process representatives, end-users, OEMs, consulting engineers and contractors, with accountability to management.
Territory Management
RSMs set up and maintain a network of channel partners including manufacturers representatives, distributors, OEMs, and resellers as needed to adequately service all markets within the entire territory with Verder products and services.
RSMs set sales and development goals for channel partners to ensure maximum sales and exposure for Verder.
RSMs are responsible for providing initial and ongoing product training for all reps and distributors for all products.
In addition to training services, RSMs travel frequently with members of their channel partners sales team to assist and become fully engaged in their selling process, and provide confidence to the end user selection of a Verder product.
RSMs establish and terminate contracts as necessary to grow and strengthen the channel.
RSMs prospect and establish new OEM accounts to fortify business.
RSMs are familiar with the installation, operation, and maintenance of all Verder products and can assist channel partners and end users through email, over the phone, and in person.
RSMs can perform startup and training services for end users when required.
RSMs maintain a database of support documents on their computers and wireless devices for quick dissemination into the channel as needed.
RSMs are proficient with technical specifications for all Verder products as well as major competitors, and can provide, review, and mark-up specifications as needed for channel partners and engineers.
While video and print marketing is handled by corporate, RSMs generate marketing content such as promotional flyers, emails, tradeshow signs and banners, social media marketing.
RSMs are responsible for the planning and execution of local trade shows, and work with the Managing Director as necessary to plan and execute national trade shows.
RSMs may plan and execute regional training seminars.
In the course of executing their duties the RSM should have a travel load of at least 50%, meaning the RSM will be in the field at least 20 days per month.
RSMs are proficient with the Windows platform, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), Adobe Acrobat, conferencing protocols like WebEx and Skype, and able to use all functionality on their devices like iPad and smartphones, where applicable.
As a Verder Group company, Verder, Inc. must meet sales goals as set forth by corporate. RSMs are accountable to management for meeting and exceeding sales and margin goals as required.
As Verder, Inc. is a dynamic and agile company, all employees are expected to complete reasonable tasks as recommended by management, even those which may not normally fall under the positions list of primary duties.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
